Can you transmogrify more than once

After a brief conversation, you'll have to interact with the Loom, which is that massive device just behind Ada Lastly, talk to her again to finish the quest - and start a new one, Tying it All Together. Just by accepting it you'll receive one Synthweave per class for free, which is used to create and apply Ornaments.

In order to make your first ornament, head towards the Appearance Customization screen found by pressing 'S' on the keyboard or Down on the D-pad from the gear screen, then selecting the top right icon. Select any Legendary equipment, and a list of ornaments will be displayed. Take your pick, which will cost 1 Synthweave, and unlock it. Spending a Synthweave is required to complete the Tying it All Together quest step. In case you were wondering, yes, you can also preview multiple pieces before making your choice.

From there, all that's left is to equip your new ornament - and to start accumulating Synthstrand, Synthcord and Synthweave for more armor changes. Whilst the previous section covers the basics, there are a number of caveats and exceptions to keep in mind:. If you're a fan of shaders, these will undergo their own set of changes as well. Up until now, Shaders are one-time use consumables that must be repurchased from Collections, in exchange of Glimmer of Legendary Shards. Starting in Season of the Splicer, all unlocked shaders will be visible on the Guardian Appearance screen when hovering over the shader bucket.

As of update 3. You will still be able to earn shaders through various activities in Destiny 2, or purchase them using Bright Dust or Silver from Eververse. With this new update, the cost will bump from 40 Bright Dust to Bright Dust, so keep that in mind.

It will continue to be a one-time purchase for the time being, and you'll find it in the Guardian Appearance menu when unlocked. In celebration of the Armor Synthesis debut, an Eververse bundle will be available for Glimmer instead of Silver, if you fancy giving the system a go.

If you have been disappointed by how rare drops can be or if you just find the task to be way more than consuming that you would prefer, fear not, as Bungie is aware of it. Starting on season 15, Synthstrand will disappear from the game.

You'll be able to purchase bounties from Ada at 10, Glimmer instead. As of now that's the only significant change being made to transmog, but Bungie says the team will be keeping an eye on it for further tweaks during the season. In addition, if your Consumables inventory tends to be full all the time, this will free one slot. Previously, if you wanted to change your armour ahead of the full transmog system, this was only possible in some cases using Universal Ornaments.

The [ Deployable Attire Rearranger ] also allows cheap and portable transmogrification services. Right-click on the NPC. You will be presented with the transmogrification interface, which shows your current equipment, similar to the standard character equipment window. Selecting any item will display in the right hand pane all alternate appearances collected for that item. Appearances selected will be immediately previewed in the character pane. The cost to transmogrify any item is its vendor value, with a minimum of 1 at level Lower-level characters have an adjusted minimum cost.

Subject to certain restrictions, gear from nearly any source can be used to transmogrify, such as: world drops, quest rewards, badge vendors, and crafting. Collecting appearances is one reason to run old content such as raids.

World events often reward special items intended for transmog, as do various game elements such as professions. The auction house is also a good source, though desirable items may command high prices.

For the dungeon sets 1 and 2 from Vanilla, which are no longer obtainable, you can buy replicas from vendors at the Darkmoon Faire. These items were specifically made available for transmogrification. Transmogrification Rules Kaivax. What follows is our current list of rules for transmogrification. View original post. In general when transmogrifying weapons, target and source have to be of the same type. However, this restriction has been relaxed in certain ways since the introduction of Transmogrification.

As stated at the beginning of the article, the player in question must be able to use the source and the target; this also includes being the appropriate level for using an item. Also, sadly I nearly had Loremaster on a couple of toons before Cataclysm hit and I've done very little world questing since that time. I haven't seen anything specific to those but my best guess is those quest rewards will not be made available?

Comment by Random One think i have heard nothing of is, Will items that we once had but no longer have be added to the wardrobe? As in my defias leather chest and old items in general?

Comment by xlolliqueenx I'm curious if you have to keep all those items in your bags still or if you're able to sell them off once they have been added to the Wardrobe?

Or if you get an item, and you sell it off because it isn't upgrade for you, will it still be in your wardrobe list? Or if you by lower level tier gear from vendor, just to have the transmog look, is there a time limit that you have to keep the item before you can sell it back? Or will it be a "learned" look item? Comment by Thready Once I collect an item is it safe to vendor it?

Comment by Ozzayel Can you confirm that if I bought a piece of armor, put it on and then sold it, will that appearance be unlocked once the pre patch goes live? Or do I need to hold onto it until the pre-patch to make sure it gets added. Comment by Esalyn here's a good'er OMG I want to use my staff again, but its on an old toon, not on my new main server.

For example, an elite pvp set for warlock -- could I then make another warlock and have the appearance unlocked? Comment by guidman64 I can never understand why games limit people, or as I see it punishing their subscribers.

I don't see the harm in transmogging a lower level character with lvl 80 gear; I was really excited about this account bound bs til I read there are limitations. Also why do we have to pay to transmog still; is it really helping wow economy that much?

Just seems like another limitation placed on subscribers. Third why do we have to go to the transmog vendor to transmog or to remove shoulder, head and cloak? I am assuming that we have to pay gold to remove looks too. It is just another limitation that they don't need to place on subscribers, but do. Do the transmog vendors have little digital families that they need our gold to place digital food on the table?

Blizzard needs to get with the times and realize that people enjoy conveniences as opposed to drudgery; many games are removing the things that companies like blizzard are did to make a game more difficult but in reality were just more annoying , blizz should too. Comment by Random My question that I haven't seen answered - do we need to keep our bags, void storage and bank full once everything is in the wardrobe, or can we sell some of these items once they are in the database?

I have a few toons where they are packed out to the gills and was wondering if I can make room for new gear. Comment by daemon9 I went on the PTR and checked out the new transmog system yesterday and saw that there were some items that were unlocked that I no longer have on my toon.

Does this mean that regardless whether or not we have the gear in our inventories come Legion, any item that we once had will still count and be added to our wardrobe? Or will it only count for items that we actually equipped? Comment by atba cant wait for this lol.

Comment by Valengeta So just to clarify things, if you unlock an item in your wardrobe, can you sell the item then and still get the appearance forever?

Comment by pjuffzor So if I want to use the League of Arathor tabard on my Paladin, I will have to grind that reputation to exalted again. Oh boy Comment by Kaiservash Hi everyone! My question is simple So, if i loot a bow on my hunter like a raid item , and i unlock that appearance, and then i trade it to other hunter, do we both keep the appearance?

And may i assume cloaks will be all-chars wide, since they dont have armor type? Edit: WIll be legendaries also added to wardrobe? Comment by bubasti What about the "of so and so" items? What is the wardrobe based on? Only the prime names? Not sure if any of the "of such and such" adds color variations in some cases, I seem to recall some vanilla items do. Comment by bubasti New addon for wowhead looks great but how can you save the information after compiling?

Verifying characters there needs to be a way to doesn't involve access to battlenet I'm not overly trusting on that side of it. Maybe I'll just wait for the live version. It's great taht it will tell you where to get certain things from. Comment by diaskeaus Simple question for someone on the PTR. Do Cata-quest rewards like Legionnaire Nazgrim's Hacker automatically transfer to Captain Taylor's Chopper on an Alliance character, or do you need to do Cata quests twice to get both recolors?

It's an important question because it means either you redo all the Cata quests on another faction character or you don't if you want all the gear transmogs. Comment by Grithar I love the new transmog system, but there is still one issue. When you mog the "item" it only applies to said item. Would much rather it be able to be mogged to the slot, i.

As is, you still have to go back and remog each time you replace an item. But if you could mog the "slot" then it wouldn't matter if you are replacing your gear, you would retain your mog. C'mon Blizz make it happen! Worst part of leveling besides the grind LOL is mismatched gear! Will these go away with the new transmog feature?

AKA should I remove all that stuff and vendor it for a tidy profit before the patch? Comment by Jandys I really do not agree with one single aspect of this new system and and is armour that drops for you that your character can equip but happens to not be the 'designed' type won't get added.

I have plenty of cloth and leather items on my warrior that I use for RP and would like to have on my other toons, some of them are really hard to get drops. Now I have to still farm them on a cloth-user of a leather-user. Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade, just an annoyance. Comment by wowilovehead So if I get an elite pvp gear staff on my druid, will I be able to transmog its appearance later to my priest or mage? Comment by Nycti Thank you for compiling this information. But I do have a further question.

You stated that only quest rewards will be placed into the transmog system. Does this mean that I will continue to have to horde my extensive collection of raid gear? Comment by ImperialBH For Shirts that have special cosmetic buff modifiers like Brawler's Guild shirts, will those still show up through the transmogrification system?

Comment by Koryn So only items that you've done the quests for will be added? Not items you've had before that were drops from enemies? Basically, is it like weapon type can only transmog to like weapon type?

Daggers will only transmog into other Dagger skins? Thanks for any clarification. Comment by Deadfolx This may have already been answered so I apologize if it was, but if I have Tabard of the Lightbringer on my paladin alliance will my warrior horde be able to use it, wardrobe as long as it's on the same account?

Thanks in advance. Comment by cjnchimaera How will off-hand items work on classes that don't use them? Will they be unlocked and available on any class, or will they need to be collected on caster classes? The game tracks what treasures and rares you killed from WoD at least, MoP too? Are those getting added retroactively too? Comment by brudarek Q - What about quest items? A - Any quests that you did in the past or in Legion, if the quest presented you with choosing either an axe, sword, or shield, then the wardrobe will register all 3 of those items.

So that that includes the one you picked as well as the ones you did not choose. Comment by Koryn What if you've got a reputation tabard that requires exalted to wear? Like, I'm exalted with the Sunreavers and Sunreaver Onslaught on my paladin. Does my mage have to be exalted with the Sunreavers and Sunreaver Onslaught to use their tabard appearances? Comment by Kurtosis Will old armor sets that were created before certain races were added to the game work on those new races? Comment by Taky24 Okey, havent seen this question anywhere.

What happens if one of my characters own an item that they have looted from an LFR boss for example an agility axe on my rogue from DS , will my DK be able to transmog the item, what he had possibly never have gotten although he is able to use it since it is a 1H axe?

Comment by LiriusMagi So I am guessing old raid gear that I might have had at one point won't be added if I no longer have it? Comment by isawakumo Here's an interesting thing that occurred to me Up until this point, Transmogging Legendaries has not been allowed. Anyone try this in the Beta, or did I just divide by zero? I earned the ability to purchase this from Gina Mudclaw after reputation grinding Old Hillpaw with my level 90 Druid Worgen?

My level 90 can transmog it currently, but the item is white and soulbound, so I can't send it to my Level 15 Monk to transmog, my hope is now he will be able to do so through this wardrobe. Comment by Barleduq so the thing that sucks the most is, as I understand it - if I finished a quest, all the items are available. Despite doing the quest, and choosing an item. Sometimes I chose the pretty one, especially a robe, cause sometimes I just hang out and wear cloth because it looks nicer than most of the hunter items out there.

Comment by billymm nice guide ty. Does anyone know the name of the background music in the vid? Comment by GrizzlyUK What happens with upgraded tier gear? If I've acquired a base version and then used it plus token to acquire the heroic version, do I get both versions unlocked, even though I no longer have the base version? Not going to be happy if I have to re-acquire base versions of tier gear that I've upgraded to heroic versions!

Comment by Hilandstone So it said your outfits could be saved and would switch when you changed specializations, but its not working for me.

What am I doing wrong? Did I just misunderstand that part? Comment by stoneweather okay perhaps i've overlooked it, it being a hot topic and lots of comments flying around.
