Which pickup is rhythm

I tend to use different settings all the time. Sometimes, the mix dictates what tone I go for. I mostly play rhythm guitar and I stay very on top of how I sit in the mix. It requires a fair amount of tone tweaking to keep from canceling out parts of the leads. Hosting open jams and playing with a lot of guitar players is great training.

Rogue Bohemian , Jul 11, Messages: 9, Rock rhythm? I think the middle pup is the finest point in the design of a strat. It will sound warm, crisp, bright, cutting, etc. All depending on where you attack the strings. That can be said of the neck and bridge, but the middle still has the widest range. For the deeper tone in the neck I would like something sounds like a ToneZone7 or a Blaze, and for a bright at the bridge, well, Evo7, or Dsonic7 maybe Thanks in advance. Brett89 , May 8, Messages: 21, Likes Received: The thing is, those pickups might not work well in the neck.

So changing the switch and the pickup s engaged changes the tone. You can also demonstrate the tone effect relative to the bridge by picking a string closer or farther from the bridge and noticing how the sound becomes more treble as you get closer to the bridge. The typical use is 'lead' position for lead guitar, because the treble tone helps it be heard more clearly. But this is pretty subjective. The 'rhythm' position has a nice warm tone that sounds good for playing jazz leads.
